Natural Stone varies in color, texture and density. The two stones used in Architectural Stone are limestones and marbles. Throughout history these two stones have been used because they allow intricate carving without falling apart.
Our stone is quarried in France, Israel, Egypt, Spain, Mexico, and Italy. These countries produce both limetones and marbles that range in color and texture. The particular stone that is chosen for a project is determind by the design of the home which includes interior, exterior and landscape design.
Density is also a determining factor when choosing the right material for a project. In warmer climate regions such as Florida and California, both marbles and limestones can be used for exterior Architectural Stone. In northern colder regions, marble can be used along with certain limestones on the exterior of projects. This is due to the freeze and thaw cycle of the seasons. Marbles are more dense than limestones and they can stand the temperature range of the cold and warm seasons of the north.
